Itinerary

Day 1: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park from either Kampala or Entebbe.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

This morning you will report at the Park Office at 7:45 am, where you shall have a briefing as you get ready for Gorilla trekking. Take with you lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences. There are now only 650 left in the world. The tracking may take between 2 to a whole day depending on where the gorillas where left the previous day. A Park Ranger Guide will interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. In the afternoon you may relax at the Camp or take a forest nature walk ( Optional) that will lead you to the MunyagaWaterfall and a chance to see Primates such as the Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Blue monkeys and other species Or have a community walk meandering into the pygmy’s community ( Optional).

Day 3: Ishasha Tree Climbing Lions

Drive to Ishasha, the southern Part of Queen Elizabeth National Park and have a game drive on your way in, searching for the tree climbing Lions.

Day 4: Game Drive

Have a morning Game drive, for a chance to find the Tree climbing Lions especially if you missed them yesterday. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have a morning game Drive. There are almost 100 mammal species that include Lions, the elusive Leopard, spotted Hyena, side stripped Jackal, Rare Giant forest Hogs, Uganda Kobs, Water Bucks, Elephants and several species of Birds. In the afternoon go for an amazing boat ride along the Kazinga Channel, revealing even more bird species, some of which are seasonal migrants from Europe. Enjoy watching schools of Hippos as they huff and spray in the water. Occasionally there is a chance to see Elephants.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking

Drive to Kyambura Gorge or Kalinzu Forest in the early morning, and track Chimpanzees, afterwards drive to Kampala. The kyambura Gorge experience is more than discovering chimpanzees in their natural environment, it teaches one about the ecosystems of Kyambura Gorge’s atmospheric rainforest.
