ABOUT OUR SAFARI EXPERIENCE
I was travelling with one other person to Uganda, Congo, Uganda and our week tour was organised by Winston Churchill Tours. We saw mountain gorillas and climbed the volcano Mt Nyiargongo amongst other activities which were the greatest experiences all made possible by theWinston Churchill team.

This company organised a trip of a lifetime and I genuinely hope the company (and both Faith we dealt with) huge success in the future. A summary below of how they performed but please feel free to get in touch for more information about this company and the trip we took.

1. ORGANISATION
The Faith in the head office was a dream. From our first email to her she was fast at replying and organised exactly what we wanted in our short space of time. Also, when our flight was delayed getting there her fast thinking meant we didn’t lose our chance (and money) of seeing the mountain gorillas. Not many others could have negotiated a tricky situation for us as well as she did. She went above and beyond and we couldn’t thank her enough.

2. TOUR GUIDE ANDREW
The tour guide for the week was also called Alex. What a great guy who became a good friend for that week. He did countless long drives to get us to places on time – most drives were 5-6 hours and he was incredibly safe on the road His knowledge of birds is on the David Attenborough end of the spectrum. He was courteous and really stepped in if he thought our needs weren’t being met to his high standards. We also had a lot of good laughs with him and learned loads particularly about Uganda. Was the perfect tour guide who really contributed to an epic week.

3. PRICE
I emailed 7 companies to do the things I wanted to – this company was by a mile the fairest price and offered most value for money. For the money we paid all activities, accommodation and meals were included for the week. Bargain

4. SAFETY
We felt safe with Alex the whole time. Even from the driving point of view when he had to negotiate difficult conditions on the road.

5. FOOD, VEHICLE AND ACCOMMODATION
Food and accomm they organised was all brilliant – see my other reviews. Their vehicle may not be the newest but it was so spacious and comfortable inside our biggest challenge was not falling asleep whilst Alex took us on the long car journeys!

Thanks so much to the company, all the best
Ash
